PRAGYA introduces primary school children to responsible and balanced mobile phone use. It does not present technology as the enemy; instead, it helps children understand when a phone can support learning and when excessive or inappropriate use can become a problem.
Children increasingly encounter smartphones at home and in their communities, but access to technology does not automatically come with the skills to use it responsibly. Excessive screen time, distraction, unsuitable content, reduced study focus and poor digital habits can affect everyday routines.
Prochesta uses age-appropriate awareness sessions, examples and interactive discussion to explain both positive and negative aspects of mobile phone use. The programme can include simple guidance on screen-time routines, using educational content, avoiding unsafe or unsuitable content, maintaining study time and involving parents or guardians in healthy digital habits.
Who Get Benefits: Primary school children, with parents, guardians and teachers as important supporting stakeholders.

Impact & Measurement: Useful indicators include number of sessions, students reached, participation, pre/post awareness responses, student understanding of healthy phone habits and parent/teacher feedback. Behavioural change should be followed up where practical rather than assumed immediately after a session.
How You Can Support: Support can fund educational materials, session logistics, outreach, printing and follow-up activities. Schools and community partners can also support by providing venues and helping communicate with parents.
